Social Anxiety

Why don't you just stay home
wrapped in the arms of fear
you're never out wandering the world
for you're trapped and scared
the people ask you
"Why are you always alone?"
being around people stiffens your bones
they say "Hello how are you,how is your day?"
you don't mean to be rude but you just want them to go away
you just smile and nod your head
feeling your body tremble after every word said
you wish to run away
and hide all day
to escape your body
to simply just float away
and while you can barely breathe
shaking from your head to your feet
you still manage to say
"I'm doing pretty good today."
