Soilders in the Dark

Warm memories fill up your soul
The thought of your family
That does not sleep in their own beds tonight
Makes your happiness overcome by sympathy

A glance at the red poppy instantly brings back what you've lost
And makes the world seem not safe like it used to be.
The lonely tomb of the soldiers who don't have a grave
Makes your eyes gush with water.

The fallen and loved have made this country our own
In the field of Gallipoli they have died.
The sound of gun shots makes you feel like you see
Their lost souls watching over you.

When he was a kid
He wanted to represent us.
He followed his dreams
And did not come back for the lost future.
