I yelled, "that sucked!"
Right after I ducked.
I just looked death square in the face;
My heart has lost its steady pace.
Shots were flying over head-
One of my comrades has fallen dead.
My fear is telling me to flee,
But I must stand firm, like a tree,
To protect America, my family and friends,
I fight for my country till my story ends.
