Soldier’s of Misfortune

By Da Poet    Da Poet

Another hero gone, a family left alone; when will this end, so the healing can begin?
You know this isn't right, why do we have to fight? I thought all men were free, that
was what was told to me? So I'll ask myself this question, how many folks must die?
Before we know the real reason why?

A battle goes it alone, somewhere in the zone. Combat stress can be, harmful to your psyche.
War is oh so cold, but yet brave, and the bold, give their lives, their soul, for this country to fill
a role. But you're my hero.

I heard the other night, ten thousand more join the fight, so many miles from home, in a country
not their own. A father, mother, son, a daughter their the one's, to give their for me, just to keep
our country free.

So I'll say a pray for warriors both home and near and far, no matter in the world where they are.
Cause you are not alone, I am there with you, if only in your heart, I will never depart.
You are not alone.

Just say the words and I'll come running. You know that I'll be there.
Cause you are not alone, I am there with you, if only in your heart, I will never depart.
You are not alone. You're always in my heart. GOD bless our warriors.
