Solitary Grieving
Death....
The grieving has to end,
People keep telling you,
Over time and time again.
It's been quite a while,
You need to move on,
Wipe those tears away,
Your loved one is gone.
Don't feel this way,
You're only hurting yourself,
You say, you miss them,
But, people show no help.
When you lose a loved one,
Others expect you to heal,
You need to get your life together,
Just ignore what you feel.
There's no ending to grieving,
A part of you cannot let go,
So many years or decades,
Gone...is the love you've known.
The grieving has to end,
People keep telling you,
Over time and time again.
It's been quite a while,
You need to move on,
Wipe those tears away,
Your loved one is gone.
Don't feel this way,
You're only hurting yourself,
You say, you miss them,
But, people show no help.
When you lose a loved one,
Others expect you to heal,
You need to get your life together,
Just ignore what you feel.
There's no ending to grieving,
A part of you cannot let go,
So many years or decades,
Gone...is the love you've known.
