Solitude

All I know is the confines of these walls
Everyone's social, and everyone's loud
All I do is wonder what are my pitfalls
Just ‘cause I don't want to follow the crowd

The collection of voices fills the cold air
I lie in my room amused by my phone
What did I do to be treated unfair?
In a city full of people, yet still so alone

Solitude is a saviour, but also a state
In a world full of superficial
It's easy to become bate
All just to follow society's call

We're so quick to judge others
Yet be hypocritical ourselves
We just hide it under the covers
Rather than on the shelves

I hope that one day the world will rejoice
Rejoice with the freedom
Rejoice with free choice
But all we want is to fit in with them
