Someday, Somewhere, Somehow
Someday He'll call me to His throne
When? I cannot say.
Perhaps He'll call me from this earth
Before the close of day.
Where will I be when He beckons to me?
At home, at work, or play?
Perhaps I'll be too busy
And I'll plead that I might stay.
Perhaps I'd left my tasks undone,
Perhaps I'd failed to pray
Because I thought tomorrow
Would be another day.
I know not how He'll take my hand,
In sickness or by surprise.
Life may be hanging by a thread
Before I realize.
I pray that when my life is spent
And Jesus's face I see,
He'll welcome me with open arms
And say "Well done" to me.
