Song of the Spring

Mother Spring opens her eyes
Peering to the world of crystal white
From Earth, she sings a song of love
To lift the fog for just one night

Spring patches a quilt of green
Over the fluffing on the ground
The patches getting bigger and bigger
As Father Winter turns around

The ground sprouts beautiful hair
Which won't be forever green
But will soon be like a rainbow
Oh, a sight yet to be seen

The cave loses its teeth
For the time being at least
When it's time for plenty
It shall become home for the beast
