Songful Poetry

I just want to write poetry that you can sing to.
Write down all of our beautiful melodies,
So you can harmonize them so perfectly.
I will speak in the sweetest baritones,
So your falsettos can fill me deeply.
I just want to write poetry that you can sing to.
I can write a monotone stanza,
So you can take it down or up an octave.
How ever my smooth tongue moves your angelic voice,
Let my cool breath vibrate your vocal cords.
I just want to write poetry that you can sing to.
Let me write all the notes from C to B and all the keys in between,
So your tone can hold every letter.
I will write an acoustic symphony,
So you can record your acapella lullabies.
I just want to write poetry that you can sing to.
I want to write a ballad of our love on a record,
So when the needle drops you scat in a cool jazz tune.
And I will write down every bass beat of your heart,
So you can feel my verbal chorus thump in your veins.
I just want to write poetry that you can sing to.
My pen will write all of our lovely chords,
And your voice will sing an accent so loud it drowns all other music,
From the past, present and future that has nothing to do with
The poetry I will write that you will sing to.
I just want to write poetry that you can sing to.
