Sonnet 672

As the guards marched us out to the court yard
Blood rained down the rugged window pane
Together we stand, divided we fall

Our enemies ran along with the showering rain
through anguish and agony, we were still powering
As the guards marched us out to the court yard

Friends against friends we were going insane
reminiscing about days we enjoyed in the crisp spring
together we stand, divided we fall

The Queen: thrown in the dark of the dungeon and chained
dreaming about the day she will see her gracious king
As the guards marched us out to the court yard
I trudged in defeat, to tired to strain
blood trickling down from my pearly ring
Together we stand, divided we fall

The city we adored, left no single remain
memories of our ancestors crippling
As the guards marched us out to the court yard
Together we stood, divided I fell
