Spark

The chill, the coldness on my hands.
Searching for warmth,
I see it in your eyes as you
Approach me.
Is it safe I wonder?
But I'm instantly drawn to the flame.
Anything to warm this chill
Descending into the unknown
Deeper and deeper until
I hit.
Surrounded by flames , i am consumed.
The fire as bright as what once was
Sunlight.
That once pretty flicker , beautiful
But deceiving is now as strong as
Hell itself.
Fighting for breath I surrender,
I allow myself to perish.
The light that seemed so inviting
Is now my end.
I close my eyes and am nothing
More than Ash.
