Spider Children

Spider Children,
Fire Children,
Find yourself a fix
Unsure of who you’ll be,
Unaware of what your actions predict
Spider children,
Fire children,
Climbing to impress.
Spin your web of acquaintances,
You’ll socially undress
Spider children,
Fire children,
Flames in your eyes
Clutching hands testifies
Spider children
Fire children
Racked with mortal grief
“You haven't lived long enough to know”
You take a knee to find relief
Spider children
Fire children
Yearning for the right to say
Praying for those better days
Where things aren’t so tangled
And the fire dies down
