Spilt
Eat your words since you're starving for attention
Wield them carefully, don't use them as a weapon
Words alone don't hurt, words alone can't heal
What matters in the end is how you make people feel
Spilling from your mouth
Spoiled down they rain
Hurtful their intent
What do you hope to gain
Acid to my ears
Toxic to my brain
You can mop them up, but the stain will still remain
Cut them with your sharp tongue
Choke on the shards of my broken heart
Truth lies in the pauses; little bits and parts
Said and then retracted
Forever they are spilt
Splattered across my psyche
Yours becomes my guilt
