I should've listened.

I'm like my own best friend when I want to be.
I'm split in two;
I'm part of the girl who knows what's best for me,
then the one who doesn't even realize my own self worth.

I didn't listen but I should have listened.

My other half. She's the girl who's super smart, who's strong, and knows what's best for her. Listen to her advice.

Instead, I turned my back and decided to walk away, cold hearted, to the part of me
who actually gave a damn.

I'm split in two;
The girl who knows what's best, and then the girl who doesn't realize her own self worth.

Now here I am, becoming blind once more. Seeing that perfect dream I’ve once seen of the future before,
created by those beautiful words told by the man who wears the mask that covers up all of his perfect lies.
He wears it too well.

I should've listened.
