Spring Angel

Spring comes out from the cold days of winter.
The sun showers me with rays of warmth.
The songbirds return, music fills the air.
A robin has found an unlucky worm.
Flowers push through the moist cool earth,
soon showing off their delicate blooms.
Awakening trees wait to burst with leaves,
of the brightest green in color.
A buzzing bumblebee distracts me for a moment.
I stop to watch.
I realize the bee is on task, I go on planting.
It seems I have lost the tiny seeds in the soil of the earth,
but I know they will thrive and dance towards the sun.
I anticipate the gifts they will bring late in the summer.
I am surrounded with tiny miracles and life of all kinds.
There is joy in my heart and strength in my soul.
My mind is quiet, a feeling of peacefulness and love rushes within.
I feel your presence here with me now.
A soft "I miss you" whispers across my lips.
I have been blessed beyond measure to know you are with me,
watching, protecting and guiding my lost soul.
A smile brightens my face as I continue my gardening.
