Spring Has Awakened

Spring has awakened life has come forth
the Canadian geese flew down from the north.
Dewdrop settle on the new green leaves
As shaft of light filter down to the trees.
Newly hatched chicks peep choke and squawk
Then grow deadly silent at the call of a Hawk.
The dog chases the Trixy rabbit
who knew fate would have it
the Fox was waiting just around the bend
To welcome dinner into his cozy den.
The Sun sets at the end of the day,
when the owl screeches and catches his prey.
This continues day in and day out,
never ending with a forgotten beginning.
