Spring to Summer

The bird of paradise finds its way
Pinecone blossoms fill the trees
The sun sets every single day
Nectar sipped by busy bees

The pool is still too cold to swim
Trees stretch out their leaves for sun
And so let blessed spring begin
A brand new joy for every one

Spring sings a song of love and birth
The cool breeze whispers secrets unknown
The earth yields forth its amazing worth
Watching seeds grow that were sown

But soon the air is hot and dry
The sun warms the earth's face
The clouds with rain will no longer cry
Citrus fruits' amazing grace

Summer peeps around the bend
Popsicles melt and ice cream too
Pen pals write and also send
I love summer, how about you?

The pool is warm enough to swim
The trees now flourish in the sun
So let summer fun begin
A brand new thrill for everyone.
