Layers of masks,
Attempts to conform,
An impossible idea,
For one to perform,

Pretty is thin,
Happy is sweet,
Where to begin,
To prepare this new meat?

Beauty wears makeup,
Perfection is flawed,
You expect me to conform,
Then attack my facade,

You say be yourself,
If I'm thin and I'm tan,
If I walk with a grace,
And can flirt with a man,

When gorgeous is plastic,
And smart is my grades,
My worth is measured by followers,
No wonder my confidence fades,

Twisted and changed,
Warped to a doll,
With these expectations,
You wonder I fall?
