I have this box with all of these things,
broken glass and angel's wings,
a jar of tears you didn't know you cried.
You be the dreamer and I'll make a wish.
You've been the prisoner and I've been the victim
but together we'll run.
You watch for demons and I'll watch for monsters.
We will wear garments of white.
You be the hero and I'll be the songbird
that never got to take flight.
Let's make believe there's light at the end of this tunnel.
Let's pretend we will ever fit in.
You put your secrets in my box for safe keeping,
and maybe we'll start again.
