Start of the Rest of My Life

Sitting here in a blank phase
wondering how i'm going to get through this mental mind maze
Get off my bus he yells
Here it starts into hell
We step on the footprints like thousands before us
standing there patiently listening to the sergeant cuss
Welcome to United States Marine boot camp
Tossing and turning my stomach begins to cramp
How did I get here what do I do
looking around nobody else has a clue
Serving my country is my god given right
that flag wont go down without a fight
This is America we fight for our freedom
and don't stop till we beat em
Back to back world war champions
Out there fighting not sipping tea in the Hamptons
This is what i'm here for
to be apart of the United States Marine Core
Thirteen weeks will go by so fast
but the satisfaction will forever last
