State to State

We've moved many places
And filled many spaces
But each house has
Had the same meaning
Once we settled in

We once lived in
The bluebonnet state
Which lead us to
A different fate

Growing through the vines
We live in the state of
The blue columbine
We've traveled both sides
Living two separate lives

Even when the walls
Are plain the feeling
Remains the same when
Your family is insane
