Among Pilate Jesus is condemned to die
to save us from our wretched lies
accepting His cross He follows the road
till He falls from His heavy load
but near Him He meets His mother
out of the crowd Simon helps the Lord
regarding the soldiers Veronica wipes His loving face
to the hill He loses His pace and falls
around Christ the women weep
by the steep road Jesus falls again
near the way they strip His garments
upon the hill they nail Him up
after He dies the new cup is filled
by means of love true God and man is taken down
into the tomb He rests now
