Open your eyes, truly open them
To a world much greater than your existence.
Open your palms, feel the difference in one year.
Take in the warmth of the sun on your skin.
Take in the chill of the wind rushing through the trees.
Take in the rain scattered throughout the world.
Open your arms so that you may catch
Everything that life throws at you
And hold it close to your existence,
Even the suffering--especially the suffering.
Take in all of the suffering. Take in all of the negativity,
So that when it happens again you may be able to overcome it
Armed with the power of knowledge and will be able to suffer
Less, and less, and less.
You were born here in this world
For some reason, but while you're here
You might as well enjoy it
By taking it all in and never letting go.
