Steady

You must have come in while I was sleeping,
Because I never even heard you creeping.
Creeping into my heart and head,
While I was laying in bed.
Now I can't stop thinking,
As I start shaking.
Knowing that I'm ready,
But not sure if I'm steady,
My heart still aches,
My body still shakes.
You are getting to me,
I don't know if you can see,
I'm still scared of the hurt,
Of waking alone in the dirt.
Even though you are here,
I'm not sure I can share.
All of my emotions with you,
Though you have the cure.
The cure to break me,
And help to set me free.
So if you think you are ready,
Then I'm sure I'm steady.
