Stick By Stick

Built one door of sin.
Craft it out of sturdy stick.
Little lies I've pinned.
To try to hide my mortal errors.
Brick by brick.
As life carries me along.

Shut the light out.
Stuff pain deep down.
Rather stay protected behind this,
Sadic sinful door.
Protected by my familiar insecurities.

The open world is hard.
Breaks my pride. Breaks my heart.
Light that shines my ugly scars.

I want to lie.
I need to lie.
I want to hide
I need to hide.

One door of sin standing in between.
Between evil and authenticity.
Stick by stick.
Finishing my decoy mansion of reality.

As life carries me along.
