Still I Walk


My Heart carries the burdens my Brain cannot handle,
It takes on the workload of a slave
It takes the pain, the hurt, and the emotional needing
And tucks away in a bottle.
My Heart tattoos the bottle to my spine,
Camouflage it to the back and keeps it moving.
It lies to the Brain, telling it to "relax",
To take it easy, that everything will be ok.
The Heart continues to lie, know if the Brain caught a clue,
The body would shut down.
But still I walk....
