Still in Love
Maybe soon my love will fade for you
As your love has faded for me
Maybe on that day I will become
All things that a man should be
I have questioned my God- if he is made of good?
Then why would our love be unpardoned?
I would forget you my love, if I could
Uplifting my roots from your garden
I know to buy gifts or throw money around
Or when we go out always pay
That is not what beats a good woman's heart
Nor will it ever be won over that way
I dreamed of us living away from this place
While exploring this world hand in hand
Yet now another gets to caress your soft face
While I must take my mistakes like a man
If that is no price to pay for my choices
A soul mate checked off as a loss
Then toss me to hell amongst demon voices
Or just nail me, to a wooden cross
