Stitch Up a Dream

I found that happiness isn't only in dreams
I took a threaded needle and started to weave
A quilt of many colors, not one the same hue
Each one was inspired, reminding me of you
I sat in thought, for my mind was traveling.
How easy life would be if the thread stopped unraveling.
A stitch can't always hold everything together
Sometimes it will fall apart in the center
You need to have patience, that's the key
To be the best person, to stitch up a dream
I took the needle
I started to thread
Maybe the quilt is a beautiful thing
We just get caught up in imperfect seams
