Stories

Real life stories
Are the ones that hurt the most
Bright and vivid glory
That covers up the ghosts
Things we'd rather hide
Bury deep inside and leave behind

It's the stories that you never hear
The ones that you can see
Keep your eyes wide open dear
And you will learn to believe
It's the real life stories
That matter to you and me

Take a look around
And tell me what you see
In this little old town
With it's roots tangled in you and me
Keeping us still, holding us in

Won't let us go again
It's the stories that you never hear
The ones that you can see
Keep your eyes wide open dear
And you will learn to believe
It's the real life stories
