Stories of a Tear

Thousands of smiles never amount
To the effects of a single tear
That runs down my cheek
Overcome by a shadow
As I sulk in my own existence
Descriptive words reiterate in my head
None of which are benevolent
Every drop has a story behind it
Every story falls to the ground
Yet it is never forgotten
All is lonely
When the tear duct tells a story.
