The ground is glistening
But no one is listening
To the snowflakes' silent falling.
She waits by the door
Her heart open for more
But instead she just stands there stalling.
What if she’s rejected?
What if they're disconnected?
It's been a year since she saw him last.
But when he sees her outside
They each are surprised,
It's as if no time has passed.
He thought he'd let go
But apparently no
As his chest begins to race.
Was she really this near?
Why had she come here?
He opened the door with haste.
Dumbfounded they stared
But neither one cared
Because they'd finally been brought together.
The wind howled and swirled
While they said thanks to the world
For the reunion that was caused by weather.
