Storm of Emotions

The clouds begin to churn, and the sky fades to black.
I reminisce about the past and the memories I wish to take back.

The thunder starts to rumble, and the lightning begins to flash.
Insults start to mount on my shoulders like the accumulation of ash.

Purple midnight sky-lines and nimbus clouds, too.
Reflecting on the wrongs I've done, and how the world changed when I met you.

Light rain rolls across my face as thoughts entangle my mind.
The only way of escaping is to put the past behind.
