Stormclouds
Dark clouds grow, grow and growl,
And hail the coming of the rain.
Thunder rolls, hot winds howl,
And lightning creeps in clouds with shame.
Overhead, water sheds,
It pitters patterns in your ear.
Never meek, storms that speak,
And tells you that it’s them you seek.
Let it call. Feel the storm,
Let the falling world be warm.
For when it leaves, when it’s light,
What a frightening sound and sight?
Warmer winds, gone away,
Now the silence of the day.
And hail the coming of the rain.
Thunder rolls, hot winds howl,
And lightning creeps in clouds with shame.
Overhead, water sheds,
It pitters patterns in your ear.
Never meek, storms that speak,
And tells you that it’s them you seek.
Let it call. Feel the storm,
Let the falling world be warm.
For when it leaves, when it’s light,
What a frightening sound and sight?
Warmer winds, gone away,
Now the silence of the day.

I Won’t Tell You About Me
PoetBenjamin Gagliardi
Hi! I really enjoyed your poetry. I think poems with beautiful visuals or illustrations are doing really well online these days and often reach a much wider audience. Even with a small investment, adding artwork to your poems can make them more engaging and shareable. I'm a commission-based artist, and I've been creating custom artwork for about 3 years. I'd love to help bring your poems to life with visuals if you're ever interested. You can reach me anytime via em@il: contact.lilaclines@gm@il.com Ig: _lilac_lines_ I'd be happy to chat!
