Story Time

Daddy I must ask you,
Can you read to me tonight?
My imagination is still wide awake,
And these stars are awfully bright.
I want to hear a story,
Before I go to bed,
For when I sleep these stories,
Turn to dreams inside my head.

Little sister I must ask you,
Can I read to you tonight?
This story is my favorite,
And it's certain to excite.
If you let me read to you,
Like Daddy once read to me,
Your eyes will open up to the world,
And it will be a wonder what you see.

Mommy I must ask you,
Can you read to me tonight?
I'm still wide awake,
And the stars are awfully bright.
I want to hear a story,
Like Grandpa read to you.
And Auntie said your stories,
Were once her favorite too.
