Stranger

I lost you today
and I have to say
I lost myself when
you walked away
I wanted to fix it
but it's too late
this was our fate
maybe in another life
you could have been mine
but this is fine
we walked the line
and now
we're on opposite sides
staring back at each other
with that look in your eye
the same as when we first met
but now you're just a stranger
with all of my secrets.
