Stranger

She gazes across the room
With a smile.
I sit and admire her for a while.
She was just a stranger
But I could tell by her energy
That she had joy inwardly.
She was just a stranger
But I saw her confidence
Beauty and heart of acceptance.
She was just a stranger
But just for a day,
I wish I could be seen as this stranger who smiled at me in a caring way.
