Stranger

By

I see a stranger in the mirror,
Looking back at me with judgmental eyes.
For years I've been trapped in the dark;
Been stuck with the torment.
But now, the mirrors surrounding me shattered.
One by one they fell.
I'm done torturing myself because of you;
Done abusing my heart.
I'm tired of trying for someone who only toyed with my feelings.
I'm moving on with someone who loves me;
Who can meet me halfway.
Someone who treats me as something more;
More than you ever will.
The stranger I see now is you.
