Strangers

You greeted me with your hello
I simply glanced at you and away I go
You followed me and asked for my name
And I thought you're just a player with a game
You opened the door for me and asked me again
I have to admit you're persistent and a gentleman
I don't want to be rude and uptight
But I just want to do things right
That night as I slept
I dreamed of you and wept
I don't know why you're in my dreams
But your face is what my heart screams
As days go by, I realize how stupid I was
To get rid of you so fast
I go to the same place everyday
Hoping you'll be there to stay
But days turned to weeks
And you're presence is what my eyes still seeks
For you have made an impression on me
Please, come back to thee!
Why should I listen to the words of the few?
I know I shouldn't give up to the thought of you
I know someday we will meet again in time
To bring us closer, your heart and mine.
