Strength

I am your wife, and you beat me down
With your words of hate and shame
And I stood there and I took all of that
And accepted all of your blame
I sat there in your misery
And loved you through it all
While you beat me down
With your hate and blame
I believed you and took the fall
I laid with you in your misery
Till I couldn't get back up
And you walked away, leaving your misery
And a mess for me to clean up
So I took your hate and your blame and your shit
And packed it nice and neat
And I gathered the little strength I had left
Packed my things, and got back on my feet
I left you there in your misery
with your hate and your blame and your shit
And to your surprise
I left your ass
And you couldn't handle it
I'm getting stronger since being gone
And I'm never coming back
I don't feel bad, not for a second and a half
That you can't handle that
