Stress

A cake one tier from toppling over
Messy, crumbled, destroyed, broken
Collapse destined at any moment

What good is a checklist if you keep adding to it?
One thing after the next
Surely it’ll all be worth it...

That slight satisfaction of completing a task
Momentarily fulfilling, but how long will it last?
Truth is, happiness can’t compete
If the list is never complete

“Don’t give up,” they say,
“Graduation is just a few days away”
Oh yay, another cliché to keep my life in check
Isn’t it ironic how they honor your success
By handing you a cord to wear around your neck?
