Stress

By Adi

Stress - tormentor of my dreams
Quoth thy brain, ‘mind the pain’
I threw my stress upon the floor
You warned me about the encore
Quoth thy resistance, 'Mind the persistence’
You warned me about the outdoors
Quoth thy indoors, 'Mind the ignores’
You warned me about the depression
Through which came jotting, jotting, jotting
Eagerly I looked for the message
Mantra - mantra - mantra!
Back into my memories excluding
An echo murmured back thy word, 'reminder!'
To warn me about the insistence
Quoth thy reminder, ‘Mind the coexistence!'
That signal, signal anguishing. Back into my memories dragging So you came gently dripping. The stress of living
