String

She doesn’t belong here
Although she walks, breathes,
sees, smiles, feels,
she cannot love completely

He grasps her heart,
holds it in one hand,
so she never feels complete.
Drawn back by a string

Sometimes,
this invisible chord pulls
so tight around her heart,
she can’t stand the pain

But think, she whispers ,
softly to the dark,
To when your heart
returns to you.
