By Naren

Like a shell on the beach,
I have been tossed about by the sea, but
I have survived your wrath of angry words,
been thrown about by your waves of
hatred and fear.
If you thought to destroy me
you're gravely mistaken.

Each test has only built my
resolve and
against all odds,
I have resurfaced
unscathed, resilient and even
more beautiful.

You see,
there is power in surviving
someone else's destruction.
