Strong African American Mother

I am an Strong African American Mother.
I wonder when my children get like me?
I can hear God and his Angels sining to me while I read my poetry.
I see myself up in Heaven with God and his Heavenly Angels.
I want my children to be like me.
I pretend that God is here with me while I read my poetry.
I feel the happiness inside my children while I read.
I cry to my children that they have a mother who cares.

I understand why I write poetry.
I say to God,"thank-you."
I try my best to come up with good ideas.
I hope my children are here with me while I read my poetry.
