Strong Will

A strong willed fighter from the start
Nothing beats faster than his heart
The love, the joy, the laughter that it filled
In others eyes his memory can only build
As time moves forward we watched his frail grip fade
Upon his bed as he was laid
The hurt, the pain, the sorrow we all feel
We’ll have to do our best to conceal
His fight has brought us all to act as one
Until it’s all done
As we lay him beneath the stone
One more day we wish god would loan
We have to realize his pain will subside
Even though it has left us in divide
Our time with him will be postponed
Until God has felt it to be condoned
