Struggle for Light

I'm trying to sleep, but this weight makes it difficult to breath.
Don't know where to turn, I sit here just grinding my teeth.
Is this all that has been offered, is this all that has been said?
I know there is much more, I've seen it in my dreams as I lay in bed.
This shouldn't be dificult, this shouldn't be too complex.
Yet it shouldn't be easy, it should leave us a bit perplexed.
I am not one to talk, I know my errors are grim,
But although that is true, the best truth is,
His light will never grow dim.
