Subjectivity Of Life

The beating of the heart
Respiration shown on the chart

Movement in the bones
Reactions to sticks and stones

Mental activity, check
Quick! Blink, just for a sec

Life definition as a utilitarian thought
What your worth is what you've got

Beyond the body is ones soul
Too many never discover their role

The beginning paves the way for the end
As one, grows ones morals tend to bend

Inevitable pain, death, and sorrow
As humans, we don't know tomorrow

Life is given and taken by One, originally
Decisions are made by many, conditionally

A relationship beyond reparation
Yet, life and death work together in fluid cooperation
