Such a Fool

Tore yourself apart
For a man who can't
tear himself from lies.
Ghosts filling his head with disloyalty.
Weeping with the willows
as he laughs with
honeysuckle in his teeth
leaving yourself to shrivel
in the desert,
to watch him dance in
refreshing waterfalls.
Gaia blessed you with a body
yet you let it wilt
for the chance to see
a dandelion bloom into a hyacinth.
Oh what a fool you must be.
