Suffocating in a Small Town

Suffocating in a small town
Everyone seems to frown
Hate, Lies, Jealousy
Is all that surrounds

Suffocating in a small town
Limited to only what surrounds
Blinded by the natural gestures
That life beholds,
And transferred to diluted lectures
That's awarded with gold

Suffocating in a small town
Where love is trying to escape
Love so scarce
Love so cold
Perceived by many,
So that is all that was told
From generation to generation
