Sugar Cravings

My sugar cravings are baby kisses
To touch my ears and say you miss this
Why would I get so high off the longing
Why enjoy a ride that is going nowhere

Things I'm craving are:
The flowing words I use to taste after my showers
The blast of light in my core merging into yours
I want your genius
Your meditative state
Your growth and your progress
Your business minded
To yourself

My sugar craving is independence
I dip my finger in it, fall into your eyes
And lick it clean
Just the tip I might say but I keep
Riding it 'til I'm caught
Craving more than what is offered

Left feeling stupid when I know where I want to be
But I can't leave a single thing behind
